On May 11th, we received a report of a stranded dolphin on the beach in Ulcinj. Immediatelly after, our team went of the field and collected very important data such as general information about the individual, measurements, nutrition condition code and decomposition code.
The stranded individual was a young female of a bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), which was in a very good physical conditions according to the visual check.
However, a part of a fishing gear, more exactly a fishing net was found in the mouth of the dead individual, which can be considered as a potential cause of death.
